National Membership in SMTA
About
The Savannah Music Teachers Association is a local branch of the national organization MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) and its subsidiary state organization GMTA (Georgia Music Teachers Association). National membership in SMTA includes membership in both MTNA and GMTA.
Benefits
National SMTA membership includes access to the following benefits:
- All Savannah Music Teachers Association local events, meetings, and other professional development opportunities for teachers and students. Visit the "Our Events" page on this website to learn more!
- GMTA and MTNA annual conferences
- GMTA and MTNA student competitions
- MTNA Certification Program
- Grants and other funding opportunities for teachers and students from GMTA and MTNA
- Perks such as member insurance programs, legal consultation services, professional support lines, and discounts to various vendors.
Cost
Active membership currently costs $139 annually. Some memberships options (senior, collegiate, etc) come at a discounted price.
To Enroll
This link takes you to MTNA's membership page where you can learn about and enroll in different types of MTNA membership (Active, Senior, Collegiate, etc). The process of enrolling in MTNA will include options to enroll in GMTA and SMTA.
Local Membership in SMTA
About
If you are primarily interested in local events, opportunities, and networking, local membership in SMTA might be the right choice for you! This option offers full access to all of SMTA's activities, but it does not include membership in GMTA or MTNA.

$50 annually ($30 annually for college students)
